In addition to providing assistance in finding services and supports each support coordinator must meet certain criteria to provide support. Below is a list of some of the requirements they must have.
- Bachelors degree
- Federal and state background check
- Completes training curriculum through DSPD
- Training from a senior support coordinator.
- Training and support as needed through Riverview
- 30 hours of training annually to stay up to date on the latest services and support strategies.
